Precautions & Maintenance Guidelines
- Do Not Mix with Standard Hydraulic Oils: Mixing L-HG slideway oils with standard HM or HV hydraulic oils will dilute the specialized friction modifiers, resulting in a loss of anti-stick-slip performance and potential machine chatter.
- Surface Preparation: Before applying the oil or filling the reservoir, ensure that the slideways, reservoirs, and lubrication lines are thoroughly cleaned and free of metal swarf, old degraded grease, or coolant residue.
- Coolant Management: Although this oil offers excellent coolant separability, it is recommended to use an oil skimmer in the coolant sump to remove "tramp oil." This ensures maximum longevity and performance of your water-soluble cutting fluids.
- Storage Requirements: Store drums in a clean, dry, and indoor environment. Always keep drums sealed tightly to prevent contamination from ambient moisture, dust, or workshop debris.
