Core Series Features
Formulated from highly refined naphthenic and paraffinic base oils. These traditional refrigeration oils offer excellent chemical stability, extremely low wax content, and superior low-temperature fluidity to prevent evaporator tube coating and ensure efficient oil return.
- Low Pour Point: Prevents the oil from congealing in the coldest parts of the refrigeration circuit.
- Thermal Stability: Resists carbon build-up on compressor discharge valves, reducing maintenance frequency in heavy-duty ammonia systems.
Specifically engineered for use with modern, environmentally friendly Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants. POE oils provide unparalleled miscibility with HFCs over a wide temperature range, ensuring smooth oil return to the compressor and maximum heat exchange efficiency.
- High Lubricity: Superior film strength protects compressor bearings and moving parts under high operational pressures.
- System Cleanliness: Exceptional resistance to thermal degradation prevents varnish and sludge formation.
A high-performance synthetic fluid primarily designed for automotive air conditioning systems and specialized industrial cooling. PAG oils offer excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics and robust wear protection for A/C compressors.
Applications & Usage Scenarios
- Industrial Cold Storage (DRA/DRC): The primary choice for large-scale food processing, breweries, and cold storage facilities utilizing large ammonia (R717) screw or reciprocating compressors.
- Commercial & Residential HVAC (POE): Essential for modern supermarket refrigeration racks, commercial chillers, and residential air conditioning units operating on HFC refrigerants.
- Automotive Climate Control (PAG): The standard factory-fill and aftermarket replacement fluid for passenger vehicle and heavy-duty truck air conditioning systems.
Precautions & Maintenance Guidelines
- Strict Refrigerant Matching: Never use POE or PAG oils in Ammonia (R717) systems, as they will chemically react and degrade. Always match the oil chemistry precisely to the refrigerant gas used in your system.
- Hygroscopic Nature (Moisture Alert): Synthetic POE and PAG oils are highly hygroscopic (they rapidly absorb moisture from the air). Keep containers tightly sealed until the exact moment of use, and minimize the time the system is open to the atmosphere.
- Do Not Mix Chemistries: Never mix mineral oils (DRA/DRC) with synthetic oils (POE/PAG). Cross-contamination will severely impact refrigerant miscibility, leading to poor oil return and catastrophic compressor failure.
- System Evacuation: Before charging a system with POE or PAG oil, ensure the system is deeply vacuumed to remove all ambient moisture and non-condensable gases.
